Keep Cancer In The Box

Posted on September 04 2009 by Pat Killingsworth | 42,752 views

During our consultation/interview, Dr. Durie suggested three or four times I “keep my cancer in the box.” What did he mean? Simply, if you have your myeloma under control, keep doing what you have been doing. Don’t give the cancer a chance to get strong and re-emerge. Is this just his opinion? Apparently not! According to Dr. Durie, there will soon be several studies released supporting his position. I will keep you updated. In the meantime, I will be starting Dr. Durie’s newly suggested therapy of 14 days on 10 mg Revlimid, then 14 days of rest to allow my bone marrow and blood counts to recover.

I will cover a different topic tomorrow: Damaged bone therapy and repair.
Until then, feel good and keep smiling! Pat
