Important Advice For All Multiple Myeloma Patients!

Posted on November 14 2009 by Pat Killingsworth | 655 views

I hope you all read yesterday’s third and final installment of Nick’s myeloma story. He concludes by giving us five important things all myeloma patients should do. To summarize:

Recognize that you are your own best advocate, and take ownership of your disease. Advice is great, but ultimately the choice is yours. Learn everything you can about your disease. Once you’re educated, pick a doctor – who MUST specialize in myeloma — and develop a personal relationship with him or her. Once you have picked your doctor, trust your doctor. Lastly, and most importantly, be patient, be persistent and be positive.

Important words to live by! Thanks for sharing, Nick!
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
