My wife, Pattie, is a cervical, uterine and ovarian cancer survivor. I’m so proud of her! She is doing great–almost seven years since her last surgery or chemotherapy, and she is still cancer free today. I envy her sometimes… At the six year point, Pattie is very likely cured. She endured two major surgeries and six cycles of grueling chemotherapy over a twelve year period. It was rough–very, very rough for both of us. But the light at the end of the tunnel was the hope of a cancer free life. For those of us with multiple myeloma, the specter of our cancer hangs over our heads 24/7. Go to http://www.helpwithcancer.org/ to read Pattie’s post. There is also lots of great nutritional info there for all cancer patients. Like this site, Pattie and I post on HWC at least once each and every day.
Feel good, keep smiling and don’t give up–one day, we too may hear our oncologist say: “Congratulations! You are cancer free–and you are cured!”
