My friend Karl Vollstedt, chair of the Stillwater, Minnesota Multiple Myeloma Support Group, forwarded me this interesting article from the Website, Patient Baristas, this past September. It deals with a lawsuit filed by the wife of of former patient who claims her husband came up with the idea to use thalidomide to treat myeloma. I thought it was worth another look. The title of the article, “Should Patients Ideas Be Compensated?“, does make one think about the billions of drug company dollars and how that money is distributed.
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
