These Pictures Are Worth A Thousand Words: View A Stem Cell Transplant Step By Step In These Amazing Photos

Want to see something incredible? Multiple myeloma patient, Larry, with the help of his wife and caregiver Sharon, shared the following pictorial with us this week. I will let Sharon explain in her own words:

Because we were full of questions before my husband’s SCT in February, 2010
at Northwestern University’s Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago, and we
couldn’t find answers to what was going to happen and what would it look
like, we talked to Dr. Mehta and he agreed to let Larry make a photographic
record of his stem cell harvest and transplant and share it with the members
of this list and any others who want to see what it looks like to get a stem
cell transplant.

Click on link below to view.  Disregard line through it.  I tested it 12/13 and it still worked.  If it doesn’t, cut and past it in your browser:

Let’s all thank Larry, Sharon and Dr. Mehta for helping to demystify SCT.
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
