My goal when I started this site was to help other multiple myeloma patients learn more about our cancer and how to treat it. As the months and years fly by, I’ve noticed the content here has become more and more technical as my “multiple myeloma IQ” rose.
That’s understandable. But I think we can all agree no one needs basic, easily accessible information more than a newly diagnosed myeloma patient and their caregivers.
With this in mind, I have added a new feature to help the newest members of our exclusive “club” find the sound, basic information they need.
Simply click on the link, Helpful Information for Newly Diagnosed Patients, located at the top of my homepage. There you will find answers to many of the most common questions asked by “newbies,” along with a shortcut to help quickly raise the reader’s multiple myeloma IQ.
Watch for lots of new links and features here as I try to fulfil my New Year’s resolution for 2011: Embrace technology!
Not an easy task for an older guy who often doesn’t feel so good. But we all need to keep growing and moving forward, right? Who knows–before long I may even start twittering and tweeting!
Feel good, keep smiling and thanks for reading! Pat
