Millennium, makers of Velcade, have launched a fundraising campain for the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), called 1000 CRANES OF HOPE.
Here is some background information about the program:
The promise of 1000 origami cranes.
The ancient Japanese tradition of senbazuru promises that a person who folds 1000 cranes will be granted a wish, such as long life or recovery from illness. Many times a family or group of people come together to accomplish this labor of love.
1000 Cranes of Hope contains the collective wishes of patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, and Millennium and Takeda employees who stand together in the fight against cancer. To further demonstrate this commitment, Millennium: The Takeda Oncology Company will make a donation for every wish made on the International Myeloma Foundation for the months of March, April and May.
By making your wish, you’re adding hope—and support—to the progress we’re making as a community united against cancer.
CLICK HERE to visit the site and make your wish. It takes about two minutes. I’m sure the IMF appreciates your participation.
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
