A Vaccine to Attack Cancer Early
A startup is developing the first vaccine to target patients before they develop cancer.

OncoPep, the research company featured in the article, is developing a vaccine designed to prevent multiple myeloma by pre-treating smoldering multiple myeloma patients.

Sounds like it may take a while to compile study results, since only 10% of smoldering myeloma patients’ cancer becomes active each year.

That’s disappointing… What does this mean–we’ll get back to you next decade?  That’s more than a lifetime to wait for results, measured in multiple myeloma years!
