Gathering celebrates the life of myeloma patient Peggy Dickinson

Last weekend, Pattie and I attended a memorial gathering for a friend of ours, Peggy Dickinson, who died recently from complications associated with her multiple myeloma.

Peggy’s husband, Fred, hosted a splendid celebration.  Lots of good food and friends.

The Dickinson’s were originally from Ohio.  They began wintering in Florida a number of years ago, settling on Florida’s Nature Coast,  just north of Tampa.

Fred and Peggy both enjoyed traveling, especially by boat.  Fred had a travelogue playing during the celebration, featuring lots of footage of the two of them together on the water.

The Dickinson’s were charter members of the new multiple myeloma support group we started down here. As you can see from this photo of part of our group, it was a beautiful day.  Fred is in the back-center of this photo–Pattie and I are front left.

Peggy was always smiling.  Her bubbly personality and friendship will be missed.

Feel good and keep smiling–just like Peggy!  Pat
