Condolences have been flooding-in from readers following the death of my father, Ted Killingsworth. How fortunate I am to have access to support like this!
My new friend, myeloma survivor Rabbi Simcha Freedman, emailed me this the next day:
Did you know that the longest word in the
English language is ” smiles?” There is a
” mile ” between the two esses.
I know that we do get a lot of mileage out of
each smile and a positive attitude.
God bless you and yours.
I’m not Jewish, but sometimes I wish I was!
This month’s multiple myeloma support group broadcast is set to air on Wednesday evening. Since I will be mid-air on my flight up north to attend my father’s memorial service, I won’t be able to host the group.
Gary Petersen has kindly agreed to fill-in. It’s an important meeting. Anya Prince will be the special guest this month. Anya specializes in helping cancer patients navigate Social Security and Medicare.
Here are the details:
On 31 July @ 6pm ET Cure Panel’s live on-air Myeloma Support Group is meeting. Support Group Leaders Gary Petersen and Cynthia Chmielewski are hosting a special guest on the show, staff attorney Anya Prince of Cancer Legal Resource Center. Anya will be helping people with their legal queries .
