I would like to remind my readers about tomorrow evening’s on-air myeloma support group, sponsored by Cure Talk. Priya Menon produces the broadcasts. She blogged about how the concept got started–and Monday’s 6 PM meeting–on the Cure Talk’s website last week:
Myeloma Survivors Reaching Out Across The Globe and Connecting on Cure Panel’s Live On Air Support Group Meeting – September Meeting to Feature Paula van Riper
Fellow myeloma survivors, Cindy Chmielewski and Matt Goldman, will join me in questioning 13-year myeloma survivor and Assistant Dean of Students at Rutgers University, my dear friend, Paula van Riper.
What makes Paula’s case so unique? She has been on the newly FDA approved myeloma drug, pomalidomide (trade name, Pomalyst), for years. Apparently Pom has lost it’s effectiveness, so Paula’s doctors have started her on the other newly approved FDA therapy, carfilzomib (trade name, Kyprolis).
Paula will be sharing her personal experience after using both of these cutting edge medications. I can’t wait to hear all about it!
Tune-in tomorrow at 6 PM Eastern, or listen later at your convenience; I’ll provide the link to rebroadcast Tuesday morning. And there’s still time to email us your questions, or register to ask them live on-air.
You’ll find all the pertinent details on the Cure Talk link above. “See” you tomorrow night.
Feel good and keep smiling! Pat
